Softalk Collaboration Suite is a new suite of three integrated
software products designed to cut the cost of groupware for small and
medium size businesses. WorkgroupShare is a cost effective alternative
to the Outlook collaboration functions of Microsoft Small Business
Server and Exchange. WorkgroupMail is a cost effective mail server that
not only provides scaleable, secure messaging but also email message
archiving, integrated anti-virus and spam protection. Softalk Organiser
is a web-based collaboration client that enables remote workers to
access Outlook shared folders.
WorkgroupShare lets users of
Microsoft Outlook share any folder including calendars (with
free/busy), contacts, tasks, notes and email with their colleagues. It
also includes the WorkgroupMail mail server with integrated email
message archiving, anti-virus protection anti-spam protection, rule
based content filtering, SSL encryption, web mail, relay control,
multiple ISPs, auto responders, IP screening, mailing lists and
IMAP/POP3. Softalk Organizer is a web-based collaboration client that
enables you to remotely access Outlook folders and also provides a
group view of Outlook calendars, a feature that is not well implemented
in Exchange Server.

ease of use and lower hardware requirements for Softalk Collaboration
Suite mean that the long term cost of ownership is also significantly
less than for Small Business Server or Exchange.
